I don't think the gerrymandering line would be that outrageous if it simply included the Alumni/Conte area as well. I don't think its disingenuous to include Rub/Ign/Voute/Gab as Lower Campus, but obviously the Alumni/Conte area should be included as well.

But I won't agree with you that BC doesn't have issues with density on lower campus, b/c it certainly does. BU and BC are very different. Your consideration of the numbers doesn't reflect the differnences in the campuses. Despite the boundries of the campuses, BU students have far more room to spread out, more choices for food, entertainment, etc. BC students are confined within the boundaries of the lower campus, and its overly crowded already.Andrea Martinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01874734589234421851noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38897564.post-31508869813121680972008-07-16T09:56:00.001-04:002008-07-16T09:56:00.001-04:00@ amartin:Actually, the entire "BC Team" has state...@ amartin:

Actually, the entire "BC Team" has stated, in documents filed with the City of Boston, that those five dorms are part of the "Chestnut Hill Middle Campus."

If you don't believe me, just check out their DPIR Table 6-1. It's quite clear.

I didn't create these campus categories, nor did I assign buildings to them; BC did. You should voice your objections to them.

Regardless of how you personally view lower vs. middle campus -- and whether or not that is consistent with the BC administration's view -- the "prison" argument put forward by BC's Dunn is still dependent on gerrymandering the map. All the dorms, Voute, Gabelli, Rubenstein, Ignacio, are considered lower campus. Middle Campus starts with O'Neill, St. Mary's Hall etc.Andrea Martinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01874734589234421851noreply@blogger.com
