Crime Fell 14% in Allston-Brighton in 2007

The Boston Police Department has released preliminary year-end crime statistics for the 2007 calendar year as compared to 2006. (The fourth quarter of 2007 data are preliminary and subject to change.)

Overall crime in Allston-Brighton district D-14 in 2007 is down nearly 14% when compared to 2006.

Crime dropped in every tabulated category (homicide, rape, robbery, assault, burglary, motor vehicle theft) except for one, larceny, which rose just over 3%. All these trends were similar both in Allston-Brighton D-14 and city-wide in Boston.
